We told you that this Friday will be a crowded one. As many as 9 releases were ready to hit the theatres. We don't know about the rest but three films have definitely made its way to the theatres namely Manmarziyaan, Love Sonia and Mitron. We spoke to Trade Expert, Editor, Super Cinema Amul Vikas Mohan about how the films are faring on the first day. As expected Manmarziyaan has taken a lead. Interestingly, it's Mitron which took the second spot in the tally.
Amul informs that Manmarziyaan is doing the best in the lot. The opening day occupancy is somewhere near 15-20 per cent which he thinks is good. Mitron takes the number 2 spot with morning occupancy of around 5-7 per cent to 10 per cent at a few places. Amul is positive that Manmarziyaan will show more growth by the end of the day. He also mentioned that the films are expected to pick up slowly, probably in the evening shows.
Coming to the other film which is doing wonders at the box office, Stree is expected to make Rs 100 crore this weekend. Amul is confident if not for this weekend, the film will most definitely hit the target next Monday or Tuesday. He called it a 'Big Victory' and we couldn't agree more.
