The most talked about film from the Dharma Productions banner is Brahmastra. It has ben under production for more than two years now. As we know, Brahmastra is supposed to release on December 4. The movie's last leg was supposed to be shot in Mumbai for 20 days. However, the shoot got halted due to the lockdown. In the middle of this coronavirus pandemic, filmmaker Ayan Mukerji is doing his best to meet the deadlines. A source informed MiD Day that he has got on board a London-based studio to handle the special effects of the fantasy superhero film. A source told the tabloid, "A large portion of the footage has been sent to the London team so that it can begin working on the visual effects in this period. Aware that outsourcing the job and sharing the content can increase the risk of the film being leaked, Ayan wanted only a core team of experts working on it. The director handpicked a five-member team who are the only people in possession of the footage."
A couple of days back, there were rumours that cast members had voluntarily agreed to take pay cuts to keep the film commercially viable. It seems the initiative was led by Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor and Ayan Mukerji, the director of the film. In response to this, Karan Johar tweeted, "My hugest request to my media friends not to reach any assumptions on our fraternity films...these are challenging times for the business and false news only makes the situation worse. Please wait for official news on any account!! This is a humble request."
In the film, Ranbir Kapoor plays the role of Shiva who can emit fire from his palms. Alia Bhatt is his love interest Isha. Mouni Roy, Amitabh Bachchan and Nagarjuna are also part of the big budget extravaganza.
