Indian skipper Virat Kohli will be returning to India after the Adelaide Test (December 17-21) to be with his wife Anushka Sharma who is expecting their first child in January. While there have been lots of talks around Virat's return, the former Australia speedster, Brett Lee, has invited Virat and Anushka to have their first child in Australia. He said that the people of Australia would be very welcoming and accept them with open arms.
"If you would like to, Mr Kohli, you are welcome to have your child in Australia. Because we will accept you. If you have a little girl, fantastic! If you have a little boy, fantastic!,” Brett Lee told Mid-Day in an interview.
Anushka is expected to deliver her child in January next year. The couple had shared the happy news in August on social media, writing, "And then, we were three! Arriving Jan 2021."
The announcement came with a picture of the couple on Anushka and Virat's respective Instagram accounts, where her baby bump is visible. In the photograph, Anushka was seen wearing a black and white polka dotted dress, while Virat was seen in a grey T-shirt and white pants.
Earlier, the mum-to-be had shared her experience of embracing motherhood. She had said that nothing is more real and humbling than experiencing creation of life in you. "Nothing is more real and humbling than experiencing creation of life in you . When this is not in your control then really what is?" Anushka captioned the image wherein she was seen standing at the beach dressed in a white top and blue pants. She was lovingly looking at her bump as she has her hand over it.
