A lot has been said in the lead up to the CBI taking over Sushant Singh Rajput's case, with several speculations and conspiracy theories spreading like wild fire. However, with the case now being handed over to the CBI, several celebs have come forward to show their support for the decision on social media. Among them is one of the actor's closest friends and his Pavitra Rishta costar, Mahesh Shetty, has also tweeted his support for the decision, which almost the entire country has been gunning for since several weeks, mentioning that this would “put speculations to rest and get justice.”
Taking to his official Twitter handle, Mahesh Shetty wrote: “I strongly welcome the Supreme Court’s judgement for a CBI inquiry in Sushant’s case. It is time to put the speculations to rest and get justice. Let’s have faith in the system and let the truth prevail. #CBIForSSR #Justiceforsushant Jai Shiv Shambhu.” Check out his tweet below:
Earlier, Sushant Singh Rajput's brother-in-law, Vishal Kirti, who's married to his US-based sister, Shweta Singh Kirti, had warned strict legal action again anyone using the actor “as a poster boy for mental health.” Posting a couple of tweets he wrote: “@shwetasinghkirt and I don't endorse any commercialization in Sushant's name. If people are doing anything using Sushant's name, it should not be motivated by profit. The family has not endorsed any for-profit activity using Sushant's name. For any non-profit activity in Sushant's name, please get a written clearance from Sushant's father to prevent getting sued later. No to using Sushant as a poster boy for mental health awareness. If the family feels that they have been libeled by any organization or individual, they will pursue legal recourse.”
