The hunk, who was a part of Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani will be playing Ashoka’s brother!
One of most lauded historical sagas of recent times, Chakravartin Ashok Samrat is all set for a leap. As we know, actor Mohit Raina has been finalized to play the role of the Maurya Emperor. Some details of the supporting cast are also emerging. It has been reported that actor Abhiram Nain whom we last saw as Avdesh Singh in Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani will join the cast as Siyamak, the younger brother of Ashoka. As we know, Siyamak is the son of Noor Khorasan and Justin.
The two shared a good bond since childhood and that will continue as they grow older. However, there will be a lot of deceit at play as Siamak too wants the throne of Magadh. It seems to be a hat-trick of historical and periodic shows for Abhiram. The actor was also seen in Buddha.
Talking about the other cast, there is a debate between Sanjeeda Sheikh and Saumya Seth to play the role of Kaurwaki. Actress Kajol Srivastava is almost finalized for the role of Devi, Ashoka’s wife.
The show has seen decent TRPs since its inception and the leap was delayed as the makers were looking for a perfect replacement for Siddharth Nigam. With his looks and towering persona, Mohit seems to be a great bet for the titular role.
