The Megastar's 150th film is off to a shaky start
It was a delightful news for every Tollywood fan that Megastar Chiranjeevi is planning to re-enter the world of cinema as an actor. This project will be his 150th film and it has been speculatively titled as Kathilanthodu. The shooting is yet to begin but it looks like the film has already landed itself in trouble.
A writer by the name of Narasimha Rao has asked the makers of the film to give him his fair share of credit and remuneration or else he claims he will disrupt the shooting of the film. According to Rao, director VV Vinayak has used his story without his consent or giving him any credit. Speaking to an entertainment website, he was quoted as saying," Since director V V Vinayak has personally assured to settle the matter, we will wait for a couple of days."
He also cleared his stand on the matter by adding that," In so far as I am concerned, I will not compromise on my demand."
According to the writer, it is the credit that is more vital to him than financial compensation. Rao has seeked the help of Andhra Pradesh Film Industry Employees Federation to help settle this matter.
This indeed comes as a blow to the film team and the Megastar, who were supposed to have started the shoot today. What is even stranger is that film is touted to be a remake of Vijay's superhit film Kaththi. If that is the case, then how come the writer remains uncredited is the question that remains on everyone's mind.
