In a recent interview Chitrangda expressed her desire to reprise Rekha’s role as Umrao Jaan in the film by the same name. According to her, Umrao Jaan’s nautch dancing character was a feminist, and the movie was way ahead of its time. She also said that she would love to sit with Rekha and talk about the days when the timeless beauty essayed the role of the courtesan. Good choice, wethinks! After her hot item number in the film Joker, we are sure she is one heck of a dancer. She may just have to work on her tehzeeb a little bit though! So, any directors out there listening? Or will it be Sudhir Mishra again to the rescue? Wink wink!
