"Climax scene of 2.0 is incredible", says AR Rahman about Rajinikanth-Akshay Kumar's film - watch video

AR Rahman is a busy man. When he is not working his upcoming web series, on his movie 99 songs and collaborating with Hollywood star Will Smith, he is chatting up a storm in his rare interviews. The Academy Award-winning music composer was interviewed by Rajeev Masand for CNN-IBN, recently. In the conversation, Rahman gave a very brief hint about what to expect from 2.0. 2.0 stars Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar in lead roles and it has been in post-production for a long time now. It has missed a couple of release dates already but is now all set to hit the theatres on November 29, this year. Talking about the director, Shankar, Rahman said in his interview, "What's good about Shankar is this project, he is the right person. Anyone else would have broken by now. He is like an iron man held on to it saying "I won't compromise. I want this quality. It's in 3D, I just watched one song. No CG on it...mindblowing. Only this guy can do this. "And for an Indian to think like that we are blessed to have [him]. And, of course, Superstar [Rajinikanth] and Akshay ji," Rahman added. Talking about the latest development, the producers of 2.0 are planning to release the teaser of the film on August 15 during the Independence Day. Interestingly, Akshay Kumar’s Gold is also hitting the screens on the same date, so we can expect a wide reach of the teaser among the movie buffs. Being the most expensive Indian film, which is made on the monumental budget of over Rs 400 crore, the stakes have never been higher at the box office.

2.0 hands down wins one award already - the 'Most Looked Forward To film of the Year' award if there was one. The anticipation is high as it's a sequel to Robot (2010). Rajinikanth as Chitti has become everyone’s favourite. To add to the buzz, 2.0 has Akshay playing the villain’s role.
