After making us laugh in The Intern and cringe us in Alice Through The Looking Glass, Anne Hathaway is back this time to tickle your funny bone taking a sci-fi, adventure route. The upcoming film titled Colossal tells an unusual story of girl and her unexplainable connection to a Monster who is wreaking havoc far away in Seoul, South Korea.
The trailer showcases Gloria down on life, moves to her hometown, her life is already a mess and it turns upside down when she realises, she is the remote control of that Kaiju monster.
The trailer looks fun with presence of funnyman, Jason Sudeikis, crisp editing. The special effects too look fine, not as great as other films that feature similar monsters like Godzilla or Pacific Rim but those films possess a greater budget. Going solely by the trailer the film looks like a great fun and will resonate with the movie watching audience.
The official synopsis of the film goes, "Gloria is an out-of-work party girl who, after getting kicked out of her apartment by her boyfriend, is forced to leave her life in New York and move back to her hometown. When news reports surface that a giant creature is destroying Seoul, South Korea, Gloria gradually comes to the realization that she is somehow connected to this far-off phenomenon. As events begin to spin out of control, Gloria must determine why her seemingly insignificant existence has such a colossal effect on the fate of the world."
The film is up for an April 7, 2017 release and stars Anne Hathaway, Jason Sudeikis, Dan Stevens, Austin Stowell, Simon Pegg, Agam Darshi and Tim Blake Nelson.
