Comedy Circus is going on presently but the writer of the show Raaj Shaandilyaa has quit the show mid-way. The reason could be anything from missing Krushna Abhishek and Sudesh Lehri on the show to getting busy with writing for Sidharth Malhotra-Parineeti Chopra's Jabariya Jodi or the repetitive gags. At least that's what we could gather from what Raaj told Mumbai Mirror.
The writer confirmed the news to the daily saying, "I started my career with Comedy Circus and wrote it till its last season in 2013. I have been emotionally attached to it. I agreed to come on board for the new season, but I felt the gags were getting a bit repetitive. I’m launching my own production house, where I will be working on films, television and web shows, so I decided to quit the show and focus on that." He apparently admitted that he is missing the old favourites in the present season. When prodded about Jabariya Jodi, Raaj said, "It’s a fun film and people will get to see Sidharth in a new avatar as a Bihari boy. It is a complete entertainer and I enjoyed writing it." He also has many plans in the pipeline, speaking about which he said, "I will give out the details soon. Meanwhile, I’m also working on some other shows."
Comedy Circus took the spot left vacant by Salman Khan's Dus Ka Dum. Interestingly, Sohail Khan is one of the judges along with Archana Puran Singh.
