The project is directed by SJ Suryah
No Tollywood moviegoer can deny that Shruti Haasan and Pawan Kalyan are an explosive combination on screen. The two made a rocking pair in Gabbar Singh which was the remake of Salman Khan's Dabangg. And now after a lot of confusion, rumours, denials and script changes, the news is finally confirmed.
Shruti Haasan has been roped in to play the female lead in the next Pawan Kalyan film. This project which is directed by SJ Suryah is not the remake of Ajith Kumar's superhit film Vedalam, but another project of the Ultimate Star Veeram. The rumours of Shruti's involvement in the project has been flying around for a long time but only now it has been confirmed. The makers of this untitled project said that Shruti is really excited to be a part of this film. They have also informed that the film will go on floors in June.
Meanwhile, Shruti is yet to shoot some portions of Sabash Naidu, in which she will sharing the screen with her father Kamal Haasan for the very first time. Once she has finished her commitments to the TK Rajeev film, she will then join the sets of the Powerstar film.
It must be noted that the Rocky Handsome actress turned out to be very lucky for PK last time around. It was after working with her in Gabbar Singh that the Powerstar delivered a hit after many years. Also, it was SJ Suryah who literally launched Pawan's career with Kushi way back in 2001. So let us hope that the actress and the director turn out to be doubly lucky for the Powerstar.
Here is a little glimpse of their chemistry in Gabbar Singh:
