Writer’s Galaxy has been working hard to make their new show Daastan-E-Mohabbat the grandest show on the Indian TV. With a stellar cast comprising of Shaheer Sheikh, Sonarika Bhadoria and veterans like Aruna Irani, the makers have left no stone unturned to make it a memorable affair. Recently, Raj Nayak, COO, Colors, posted a promo of the magnum opus. However, the promo didn’t live up to our expectations as the primary characters are missing from it. It is also revealed that the show will go on floors from 1st October replacing the very popular Udaan.
The teaser begins with the stereotypical flags that have become a must in every historical saga, these days. A voiceover gives us the premise of the love story. The camera takes us through the sets of the magnum opus. We see the glimpses of characters, walking, running and standing in the frame. If this wasn’t enough, the cliché continues with warring horses on the battle field. However, during the entire clip, the duo Shaheer Sheikh and Sonarika Bhadoria who play Salim and Anarkali respectively, are not visible. A bummer indeed!
Here take a look at the teaser.
Well, the promo doesn't seem to show any kind of novelty. If you would have seen Anirudh Pathak (producer)’s previous work Prithvi Vallabh’s promo you would realise what we are talking about. The promo seemed to have a grandeur, which Daastan-E-Mohabbat lacks. There’s no background tune that would catch our attention, nor does the set look marvelous. We can only hope that with Shaheer-Sonarika’s promo and look, the show will redeem. Slightly disappointed since we had high expectations from Pathak and the GEC.
