Oops! Hit a nerve there SRK, did you?
Okay, I wouldn’t really start the whole Dilwale and Bajirao Mastani clash rant as by now the competition has grown fierce and even the dates are nearing. Can you believe it? Two more days of anxiety before the two highly anticipated films hit the theatres! With the two films clashing, one expected a lot of drama between the two filmmakers and the actors of the films but nothing of that sort panned out. In fact, earlier only Bajirao faced the wrath of controversies but now even Shah Rukh Khan’s Dilwale fell under the scrutiny of political party, MNS, who started a boycotting spree. Well, honestly, this just makes me slightly curious as how in the last week of the film’s release, the party decided to start a dislike campaign. Could it be another promotional gimmick for Dilwale?
Well, let’s put all those speculations to rest as a new sort of disagreement has hit the Bajirao Mastani and Dilwale camp! So turns out in a recent Dilwale promotional event, Shah Rukh Khan was quoted saying, "The other film (Bajirao Mastani) is also made by friends. Our genre is more family and happy-go-lucky kind. Their genre is niche and historical. For both films, audience will come in at different time and watch it. Both are really nice movies." However, that didn’t go down well with Mastani Deepika here as she raised an objection saying, “I wouldn’t call Bajirao as niche at all. In fact, one of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s strength is, that in a film like Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam or Devdas or Ram Leela, or even Black, he has his way of story-telling and yet he makes his movies globally appealing.”
The actress also added, “I don’t know what Shah Rukh meant when he called the film niche, but both are totally different genres. I have worked with both the directors and know what both of them have to offer are very, very different. Even as an audience you won’t be able to compare the two, one is action, comedy romance while Bajirao Mastani is completely different.” Wow. Just when you thought things were going blissfully between these two competitors, a new kind of spice has penetrated their happy-go-lucky promotions! We wonder if it has got something to do with the surfacing competition between Dilwale and Bajirao Mastani.
So with only a day more to go before both the films hit the screens, tell us how excited are you to watch them in the comments section below!
