On Mother's Day, Deepika Padukone posted a video of her mother on her social media handle. In the video, we see Deepika showing us a side of Ujjala Padukone, DP's mommy, that we have never seen. And after the video, we can easily say that as Deepika claims, gets her acting chops from her mother. "Now we know where I get my acting chops from..." Piku actress' caption read. In the video we see, a goofy Ujjala holding a glass of water, and mimicking Deepika's friend Nikhil Sosale's dancing style. Ujjala's mimicking skills are so on point that everyone is out there laughing, cheering and hooting for Mamma Padukone. Although we don't see Deepika in the video, we do hear her in the video saying, "Maa, tell us how Nikhil dances."
While sharing the video which seemed like an ode to Mother's Day, Deepika also tagged her mother-in-law, Anju Bhavnani. She apologized to her friend for exposing him to the world like this. "Now we know where I get my acting chops from...To my friend, guide, anchor, disciplinarian & role model...Happy Mother’s Day!❤️#UjjalaPadukone @anjubhavnani(apologies @nikhilsosale for exposing you like this!???)," her caption read.

The video received much love from the audience including her hubby Ranveer Singh. He commented, "Hahahahahha" on the post.
Out of all the celebs who have posted Mother's Day special posts, Deepika's is the sweetest one. Although DP's mommy is quite reclusive of social media, the actress makes sure to give us a glimpse of her mommy. Earlier, the actress shared a beautiful picture of hers with mommy.
She captioned the pictures and wrote, "trying to get her to smile...but she’s such a natural...❤️ #motheranddaughter"
On the work front, Deepika is currently filming Meghna Gulzar's Chhapak. She was last seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmaavat. Recently she also walked the MET Gala wearing a pink gown as she resembled a Barbie doll.
