The biggest name from Bollywood that has come under the scanner of the Narcotics Control Bureau is Deepika Padukone. The actress will be summoned for questioning tomorrow. In a newsbreak by Times Now, sources have told the channel that Deepika Padukone was allegedly the admin of the drug chats group. The name of the actress came up after Jaya Saha's phone showed a conversation where Deepika Padukone is allegedly asking for hash. She is in a chat with a couple of people. The actress makes it clear that she wants hash and not weed. This is the chat that got her into trouble.
Since morning, reports were coming that perhaps Deepika Padukone's phone was unknowingly used. Now, Times Now is saying that sources told them that she was the alleged admin of the group. The actress was away shooting in Goa for her film with Shakun Batra. She came back last night. Husband Ranveer Singh drove down from Mumbai to Goa to be with her in this testing phase. It seems the couple are consulting a team of 12 lawyers. Ranveer Singh had written a letter to the NCB requesting if he could be with Deepika Padukone when she was being questioned. He said his wife suffers from panic and anxiety attacks. This was reported by Peeping Moon and Republic. However, in a fresh report that has come in India Today, the NCB has denied receiving any request letter from Ranveer Singh.
The noose also tightened around Dharma Productions. Karan Johar's aide Kshitij Ravi Prasad was picked up from his Versova residence along with a female companion. It seems he bought hard drugs. As per reports, some contraband has been found at his place. Another guy, Anubhav Chopra is also under the scanner of the NCB. The questioning of Rakul Preet Singh is happening right now. Deepika Padukone's manager Karishma Prakash is also there. Tomorrow, the NCB will make Jaya Saha and her sit face-to-face and interrogate them. The drug dig-up in Bollywood is truly shocking.
