We told you some time back that Deepika Padukone and Sanjay Leela Bhansali will be paying a tribute to Madhubala's Pyaar Kiya Toh Darna Kya from K Asif's Mughl-e-Azam in Bajirao Mastani. Sanjay Leela Bhansali shot a special song picturised on Deepika for Bajirao and it is called Deewani Mastani. Deepika would be seen dancing beautifully in the video of the song and it is bound to instantly remind you of Madhubala aka Anarkali's ethereal grace from Mughal-e-Azam.
The song is special and it would be getting an ever more special launch! Deepika would be seen walking the ramp as designer Anju Modi's showstopper for a special Bajirao Mastani fashion show, where the song Deewani Mastani will be launched. Dippy would also be travelling to two cities for promotions of the song.
Deepika will first walk as the showstopper in Delhi dressed in the original outfit that she has worn for the song Deewani Mastani in the film. The ramp show will be conducted against the backdrop of the Aina Mahal setup, where the song was originally shot. A source also confirms that the show will start with the narrative on Bajirao Mastani and 22 models will sashay down the ramp dressed in Anju Modi creations which are inspired by the Sanjay Leela Bhansali film!
This is a rather unique way to launch a movie song and we are looking forward to seeing Deepika's new-age Madhubala avatar in the video! What about you?
