The popular comedian had taken a break from acting when he went on to direct Pukar – Call for the Hero on Life OK
The last time we saw Deven Bhojani was in a comic role when he was doing Bh Se Bhade. He took a break from acting to direct Rannvijay’s debut daily soap Pukar – Call for the Hero. It seems acting is pulling Deven back to what he does best, but this time Deven will not be seen in a comic role.
Deven will be seen in a cameo role in Sudhir Sharma’s Gulmohar Grand. The show is based on the hotel industry, where Deven will be seen playing an educated, rich and eccentric guest, who drives the staff up the wall. We wonder why the talented actor opted to play a cameo instead of a full fledged role. He said, “I can’t take up a daily soap as I have various other commitments. I accepted this role because it required just one week’s shoot. Also, the concept intrigued me. I have travelled a lot and hotel industry has a lot of potential in terms of story telling.”
Like we said, the actor won’t be playing his usual comic role. Deven elaborates about the role, “For me, it’s a welcome change from comedy, which I have always done. I play a light-hearted character, who will influence the interpersonal relationships of the hotel staff. I will be sporting stubble for the first time.”
Gulmohar Grand also stars Aakanksha Singh, Gaurav Chopraa, Teeshay and Ashim Gulati in pivotal roles. Stay tuned to this space for more updates and gossip on telly town folks.
