Studies come first...
Mostly all of us have watched Fan. Shah Rukh Khan's performance both as Gaurav and Aryan Khanna was superlative. There is an actor ready to take up challenges even if the audience hasn't been kind to him. Fan was an ode to his stardom. There is one other film called Dhanak which dwells on the same premise but from a very refreshing angle. Two kids travel all the way to meet Shah Rukh Khan their superstar for a reason. Now when you have kids playing the prime roles, you have them often your sets which hampers their studies. But Nagesh Kukunoor, the director, wouldn't let that happen and found a way to keep them clued in to their studies.
While shooting for his upcoming film Dhanak though the child actors – Krrish Chhabria (Chotu) and Hetal Gada (Pari) – had to miss out on a few days of their school, Nagesh made sure that they do not miss out much on their studies. And for this, he put forth a rule for the children that they do their school and homework for an hour every day of the shoot.
That reminds us of Amol Gupte. It was reported that he shot Hawaa Hawaai during summer vacations and weekends so that the kids in his film don't waste their study hours. It's really heartening to see filmmakers take care of the kids in the cast after all, studies are as important as their work in films.
