The Raanjhanaa actor is the Gen next superstar down south and is already making waves in Bollywood too
Dhanush created quite a stir when he debuted opposite Sonam Kapoor in Anand L Rai's film in 2013 and seems like his next with R Balki too is garnering a lot of attention. This Southern star won accolades and fans in Hindi cinema for his portrayal of lover boy Kundan Shankar in his last and seems like in his latest Hindi venture we will see an interesting facet of his.Yes, he's all set to emulate his superstar father-in-law Rajinikanth's conductor act in Amitabh Bachchan starrer Shamitabh.
The buzz is that the Kolaveri Di singer will also be seen selling tickets in a bus. For those who do not know, the Lingaa actor's journey to super stardom started with a humble beginning. Rajinikanth was a ticket conductor before he entered films. And Dhanush too will walk a similar path in the movie. However, the Paa director denies that this was a deliberate attempt, he said to a daily, "Yes, Dhanush does play a bus conductor in my film. His character lives around a bus-stop and picks up odd jobs, one of them being selling tickets in a bus. However, it wasn't a conscious decision to incorporate this detail into the screenplay. It is purely incidental."
We can't wait to catch this film that boasts of an ensemble cast which includes Rekha, Abhishek Bachchan and marks the debut of Kamal Haasan's daughter Akshara Haasan.
