The makers were looking to finalise the date keeping Rajinikanth's Kabali-release in mind.
Directed by Prabhu Solomon, this movie talks of an adventurous train journey from Delhi to Chennai. Apart from its racy, action scenes, it also explores a love story between a couple played by Dhanush and Keerthy Suresh. Dhanush also happens to be playing a pantry worker. Earlier there were reports of Thodari releasing on July 29 or August 5. But it seems now, it will release on August 12 and capitalise on the Independence Day weekend.
But there have been no confirmations from the producers regarding the same.The film also stars Radhika Ravi, Nasser, Ganesh Venkatraman, Thambi Ramaiah and Karunakaran. The music album was composed by D Imman and it had been received well.
The Thodari first look poster was set in a typical express train set up, and it really gave us the feels of a coming mysterious train adventure. From the looks of the trailer, it promises to have elements of adventure, action and romance along with Thambi's incredible comic timing.
In other news, Dhanush has begun shooting for the much-anticipated Vada Chennai which will be a trilogy. This will be Dhanush-Vetrimaaran's third venture. Samantha Ruth Prabhu was to be part of this project, but reportedly as she could not allot bulk dates for the Trilogy, she is no longer part of the project . Now, the latest reports suggest, that Amala Pual might hop on board but there have been no confirmations yet.
