There was a huge uproar recently where it was said that Akshay Kumar has walked out of Gulshan Kumar's biopic stating that the director Subhash Kapoor is not complying with his suggestions. The actor apparently, wanted changes in the script and when that didn't incorporated, he bowed out. We told you EXCLUSIVELY that there is no truth to this tale. We told you that the actor wants to be superbly convinced about the scripts of his films before he says yes to any of them. He is waiting for the same in case of Mogul as well. And turns out our report was right all along. Akshay revealed that he is still waiting for the script.

Akshay told Bombay Times, "Subhash is scripting the film. Only after the script is finalised will the production be scheduled, no?" Clearing confusion, producer Bhushan Kumar told the daily, "This is not just another film for us. 'Mogul' is a very emotional project. This is a story, which will be narrated only once. Subhash is working on the script and the focus is on getting it right. There are so many aspects of the subject, and it's important that the right emotional connect comes through." He also spoke at length about the film's shooting schedule. "We had never locked the dates with Akshay. Once the script is finalised, we will proceed with planning and scheduling the shoot. The priority is to get the script right. It's not easy to tell a life story in two-and-a-half hours flat. And since 'Mogul' is based on my father's life, we have invested emotionally in the project, especially my mother," says Kumar.
