It's been over two months now that Sushant Singh Rajput left us all. It still feels unreal that the actor is no more. The investigation in his unnatural and untimely death is under the way. At first, Mumbai police had been handling the case, with the pressure of the audience and request of the family, Supreme Court decided that it was best that CBI took over the investigation as months have been passed. CBI is currently investigating the case while ED had been investigating the money laundering angle. Sushant's helper and aids are being continuously grilled by the authorities in question. Every day we hear new reports and new information about the actor from his friends and his previous helpers. Now, as per the latest report, Sushant has slashed his remuneration for his last film.
Sushant Singh Rajput's last film, Dil Bechara released a month ago. As per a report in Pinkvilla, the actor had cut his fees. "Sushant usually charged to the tune of 6-8 crore for each movie that he took up. But for Dil Bechara, he only charged half the money. He got a little over Rs 3 crore for the film," a close friend of Sushant told the portal.
The source went on to add, "This was Mukesh Chhabra's directorial debut and they both shared a warm friendship. He had launched him and Sushant had promised Mukesh that he will do his first film. Dil Bechara, earlier titled Kizzie Aur Manny, took an extra year because of funding and a few internal changes that happened. So when Sushant agreed to do the film, he saw the challenges the team was facing and agreed to do it for half his fee. He also had a long standing relationship with Fox Star Studios and was in touch with the banner for a few more films. He did it just because he felt it was the most correct thing to do."
We hope justice prevails sooner. Amongst the many things that the actor won hearts for, this has a special feel.
