Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli's recent split came as a shocker to many. In fact when BollywoodLife quizzed fans which star couple would they want to see reconcile - Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif or then Virat - Anushka, the latter won maximum votes. Clearly the news afterwards somehow made die-hard fans of the two wish even harder for their patch up. We revealed how Anushka had congratulated Virat after his fabulous performance at the ongoing ICC World Twenty20. Anushka who had split with Virat a little ahead of Valentines Day was attacked by Twitter troll from the very beginning. It only got worse when people in cyberspace hinted that Anushka's ouster from Virat's life had improved his performance on field. Of course unlike earlier Kohli wasn't there to defend his ladylove, so it only worsened with every match. Yesterday was no different. Virat was hailed for concluding the match against Australia in style and Anushka was trolled.
Virat seems to have had enough of all this bullsh@t! The cricketer took to social media to express his anger. On both Twitter and his Instagram page Virat posted, "Shame on those people who have been having a go at anushka for the longest time and connecting every negative thing to her. Shame on those people calling themselves educated. Shame on blaming and making fun of her when she has no control over what i do with my sport. If anything she has only motivated and given me more positivity. This was long time coming. Shame on these people that hide and take a dig. And i dont need any respect for this post. Have some compassion and respect her. Think of how your sister or girlfriend or wife would feel if someone trolled them and very conveniently rubbished them in public."
Of course this is the first time Virat has spoken for Anushka since their split. Both Anushka and Virat had refrained from commenting on their relationship BollywoodLife had learned from sources that Kohli wanted to win back Anushka. The alleged reason for the couple's split was marriage. Rumours also suggested that Virat wasn't too happy with Anushka signing Sultan opposite Salman Khan. However, neither of them came out and spoke about any of this. Anushka has maintained a staunch silence and when Virat was quizzed about Anushka he shut the paparazzi.
