After wooing viewers as Ranveer in Colors' Meri Aashiqi Tumse Hi, Shakti Arora has not signed up for any daily soap. A source told Bollywood Life that he was signed on as the main lead for Sony TV's Jaat Ki Jugni. However, the actor laid down some terms and conditions that did not suit the makers and channel. Ek Veer Ki Ardaass - Veera and Gangaa actor Vishal Vashishtha was then taken on board. Shakti Arora signed Jaat Ki Jugni on dotted lines. His look, costume test and even photo-shoot was done. He was supposed to leave for an outdoor in Punjab but then things went awry. It seems Shakti made some demands that did not go down well with the production house, Rashmi Sharma Telefilms. The production house has a reputation to control actors and did not like his 'attitude'. It seems remuneration was a huge issue. This left the channel and producers with little option but to look for a replacement.
Shakti was supposed to do Star Plus' Thaali as well. Since Thali was about sisters, the focus on Shakti was secondary. So when he was offered 'Jaat Ki Jugni' he lapped up the offer since it was all about the boy, Bittu. He was keen to do the character. His chemistry with Madirakshi Mundle was also coming out nicely. He is still in two minds over Thaali. Incidentally, Shakti's show 'Meri Aashiqi Tumse Se ' is a superhit in Indonesia. Last week, Radhika Madan and he visited the island nation.
