Bollywood star Rajkummar Rao is undoubtedly one of the versatile actors, we have in the entertainment industry. The 34-year old actor has proved his acting mettle in films like Omerta, Trapped, Shahid, Stree and many more. He is currently one of most favourite actors of the producers as many filmmakers are keen on working with him. But do you know, acting was not his first choice? Yes, you read it right, Rajkummar Rao wanted to be a dancer.
The actor recently told Midday about this interesting thing and said, "I was in tenth standard when I came to Mumbai from Gurgaon for the first time, I always wanted to be a dancer and came here for the auditions of Boogie Woogie where I got rejected. I was sixteen years old when I came here. I was very disheartened by that rejection then but today I am so glad that I got rejected. It got me to a better career that I am in today." Well, we are happy that because he got rejected, we are seeing him entertaining us with his acting chops.
On the professional front, Rajkummar's latest venture Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga released last Friday and is garnering positive reviews across the country. Our critic Urmimala Banerjee gave the film three-and-a-half stars and said, "ELKDTAL is definitely a thought-provoking film and its triumph lies in telling a tough subject with a certain amount of humour and lyricism. It can be watched with families without any hesitation. Bollywood has surely found a good story teller in Shelly Chopra Dhar. And lastly, everyone would want a BFF like Rajkummar's Sahil Mirza after this film."
