In a very short period of time, Taapsee Pannu has carved her own niche by giving some superlative performances in films like Thappad, Badla, Mulk and many others. While the gorgeous lady had earlier described her struggling phase as an outsider, in a recent interview the Saand Ki Aankh actress revealed she got her first Bollywood film Chashme Baddoor without auditioning. Talking to Vogue India, Taapsee revealed this thing and said, “Thank God I wasn’t auditioned. I haven’t learnt the craft formally, my training is all on-set. I would have failed miserably. I was known as the girl who has the ‘Preity Zinta vibe’ which is why I even got a Bollywood break.”

Speaking about playing modern characters, the gorgeous lady added, "Being a female actor I cannot afford to do just one film a year. I wish I had that luxury. But I cannot turn my life upside down for a role. I bore quickly, so new roles and new places help. Fame is not important. I am a Leo, after all. I am the modern young woman. My roles represent that. People should be able to relate to my character."
On the work front, Taapsee Pannu will be next seen in Haseen Dilruba along with Vikrant Massey. Touted to be an edge of the seat murder mystery, the film is directed by Hasee Toh Phasee helmer Vinil Mathew and produced by Aanand L Rai and Himanshu Sharma. The actress is also playing the lead character in popular cricketer Mithali Raj's biopic, which is titled Shabaash Mithu. The biographical sports drama will be directed by Raees helmer Rahul Dholakia. Apart from these two projects, she has films like Looop Lapeta, DoBaara and Rashmi Rocket under her belt.
