If you've loved Dishoom, then get ready to embrace the action-comedy's sequel soon. Yes, the sequel to Varun Dhawan-John Abraham- Jacqueline Fernandes is apparently in the works. Dishoom 2, if we can say, is going to be bigger and better. The film won't begin from where it left. Instead, Dishoom's sequel will have a different storyline altogether. In Dishoom, Varun and John played cops, who were on a mission to find an Indian star crickter, who was eventually kidnapped 48 hours before a match in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). This time around, Varun's character, Junaid, will set out on a mission to track a threat. The first draft of Dishoom's sequel has been locked as well. Dhawan collaborates with his director- brother, Rohit Dhawan, who helmed the first part as well.
"He has been working on multiple ideas for his next directorial for a while now. One of them was a plot that had the potential of taking the buddy-cop franchise forward. He recently narrated the first draft to Varun and Sajid, both of whom have green-lit the project," a source close to the development, informed Mumbai Mirror.

Sajid Nadiadwala intends to begin both Dishoom 2 and Salman Khan starrer Kick 2 by next year.
Before kickstarting the shoot of Dishoom's sequel, Varun Dhawan will wrap up the shoot of Shashank Khaitan's Mr Lele, which also features Bhumi Pednekar and Kiara Advani. Meanwhile, he is currently gearing up the release of Street Dancer 3D, in which he stars alongside Nora Fatehi and Shraddha Kapoor.
