After the success of Drishyam, Ajay Devgn is gearing up to direct his second film Shivaay, which is said to be an intense action thriller. His first directorial U Me Aur Hum was a romantic drama with wifey, Kajol.
With Shivaay, Ajay Devgn is returning to the zone he is more comfortable with, action. We had broken a story once that the film will be on the lines of Liam Neeson's Taken, and will be on the subject of hum trafficking!
As in the Hollywood thriller, Liam Neeson's daughter gets kidnapped by the human trafficking ring, and he goes all out to save his daughter. For the Indian version, it seems Ajay Devgn has opted for a younger girl to play the role - he will be playing a father to a 12 year-old. Not only that, he went for a gori kid to do the honours.
Abigail Eames, known for her roles in the super-famous television series Doctor Who, and also in the Hollywood movies like Alley Cats and Lawless, is roped in to play Ajay Devgn's daughter in the film. Her performance in Doctor Who has won her lot of appreciation.
Though how English girl would pass off as Ajay Devgn's daughter can only be clarified when the film releases, or if Ajay Devgn clears the matter.
The movie also marks the Bollywood debut of Sayesha Saigal.
