Reports of trouble in Karisma Kapoor and Sanjay Kapoor's paradise had started making rounds after the birth of their daughter, Samaira. However, they had filed a petition for divorce with mutual consent only in 2014. After a long and ugly divorce battle, they finally secured a divorce in July, 2016. Now that they are divorced it seems like the two are ready to move on.
If reports are to be believed, Karisma Kapoor’s ex-husband Sunjay Kapur is all set to get married this year. He has been dating Priya Sachdev for quite some time now, and the latest we get to hear is that Sanjay and Priya will be tying the knot in April this year. No confirmations about this have been made so far but if this turns out to be true, this will be Sanjay's third marriage. A close friend of the couple reveals that the wedding ceremony will take place in New York and only close friends and family are invited to it. According to the source, "Sanjay and his family do not want to talk about any kind of marriage. For them, this divorce (with Karisma) war has not been easy."
However, this won't come as a surprise for Karisma as, during the divorce proceedings, she had filed a fresh case against Sanjay Kapur in the Metropolitan Magistrate Court under Section 498 A for mental harrassment. Under the case, she had alleged that Priya and her daughter were staying with Sanjay in their house and claimed that it makes for a case of mental harassment. Apparently, Karisma had also told the authorities that not only were Sanjay and Priya cohabitating but also vacationing together in exotic locales and posting their pictures on social media.
During their divorce, too, speculations were rife that the couple was parting ways due to Sanjay's proximity to Priya Sachdev, who was earlier married to hotelier Vikram Chatwal. However, it wasn't till Karisma filed the case that the world got to know of the role that Priya played in the couple's divorce. Other reasons that were cited as the reason for their break-up was that Karisma wanted to stay in Mumbai while Sanjay insisted on staying in Delhi.
Guess, we will never know the real reason behing their separation. And with Karisma going steady with Sandeep Toshniwal post parting ways with Sanjay, it seems that the two have finally moved on in life. All's well that ends well and all that!
