The film's director thinks that the superstar should get an award for his work! You vote and let us know if you agree with him!
Shah Rukh Khan’s Fan , one of the most anticipated movies of the year, opened to good reviews from critics and saw a great opening on April 15. The film saw Shah Rukh Khan in a negative role after a long time which had created a lot of excitement among his fans. Both his roles fan Gaurav Chandna and superstar Aryan Khanna received huge appreciation and applause from the critics and viewers. In spite of all this, the movie collections saw a decline after the weekend. The movie failed to stand up to his real life fans’ expectations.
However FAN’s director Maneesh Sharma feels that Khan’s performance as both a superstar and a much-younger look-alike fan deserves a National award next year. "I am actually expecting National Award for Shah Rukh for his work in the film. Let's hope he gets it. It feels great seeing the response Shah Rukh is getting for his performance. It is satisfying," Maneesh told a news portal.
While the nation gave its verdict on the film long back, Maneesh still seems content and hopeful. "I am very satisfied in the sense that it was an alternate stuff for a Shah Rukh Khan-film and we all knew we were going for something little out of the box in terms of what is expected out of YRF-SRK combination. Cinematically, we have done something which we are very proud of whether in terms of story-telling like not having song, dance, heroine or fulfilling any commercial expectation, which is what people associate with Shah Rukh and Yash Raj ” said Sharma to a news portal.
