After two years, Baahubali: The Conclusion hit theatres worldwide on 28th April. Considering the buzz and hype around the project, the movie has opened to a phenomenal response. The director - SS Rajamouli has been lauded for his exemplary vision post the release. Like he rightly mentioned, there was so much more to look forward in Baahubali than the most asked question - Why Kattappa killed Baahubali, one of them being - the powerful characters in the story.
Prabhas as Amarendra Baahubali is royalty personified. His gait, his mannerisms, his dialogue delivery brought alive a character that has become a global figure today. Anushka Shetty as Devasena was the epitome of grace and bravery. Ramya Krishnan as Sivagami and Sathyaraj as Kattappa stayed true to their character as well. Unfortunately, Tamannaah Bhatia who played a significant role in Part 1 was hardly seen in Part 2. she appeared towards the end in the climax sequence. However, she had no dialogues and there was only action scene with her. Her presence was hardly felt in the movie. Now we got to know this.
As per reports on DNA, her role was longer in part 2 but her scenes were chopped off from the last edit of the film. Reports further suggest, she is upset with the director as she was as surprised as the rest of us from her barely-there role. But nothing can be confirmed as of now.
Meanwhile, the movie has set a high benchmark for the films to come at the BO. Apart from its cinematic grandeur, the film is shattering records at the BO right from Day 1. The historical drama managed to rake in Rs 121 crore on Day 1 in four languages - Telugu, Hindi, Tamil and Malayalam. As of Day 5, the film is entering the Rs 200 crore club in Hindi. Worldwide, the film has already grossed Rs 700 crore. As of now, it has raced ahead of all hit movies so far - Salman Khan's Sultan, Aamir Khan's Dangal, Aamir Khan's PK. We won't be surprised if the film enters the Rs 1000 crore club in the next 5 days or even lesser.
