Malayalam superstar, Mammootty is celebrating his 66th birthday today. The actor has spent three decades in the film industry and still continues to headline the cast of movies. What a life! Won't you love to see a biopic retelling the story of his life? And who do you think would be the best to play him in the movie? His son, Dulquer Salmaan, has got to be the first name that pops in a fan's mind! But, unfortunately, chances are very slim that Dulquer would actually star in a movie based on his father's life.
Earlier, in an exclusive interaction, we asked Dulquer if he is open to the idea of starring in Mammootty's biopic. “I won’t do it. I don’t know who should do it but it certainly won’t be me. I think I will be too biased,” DQ had replied. (ALSO READ:
Speaking about the influence his father has had on his life and career, Dulquer had added, “Everything he does, he does it with a certain level of integrity. So that’s always a big inspiration.”
Mammootty has been entertaining us for many decades now. He was conferred with his first National Award for Best Actor in 1989 for Oru Vadakkan Veerakatha and Mathilukal. Later, he won two more national awards for Vidheyan and Ponthan Mada in 1993 and for the biopic on Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar in 1999.
Mammootty’s success and vast popularity have to do with his ability to excel in art house cinema and keep his mass appeal intact. He now also has the satisfaction of seeing son Dulquer Salmaan making waves in Bollywood.
Here’s wishing this amazing actor a very happy birthday...Do send your wishes!
