The revenge drama got the maximum number of votes
The huge success of Naagin has brought more focus onto the concept of finite shows in India. Keeping this in mind, we conducted a poll on which finite show was most loved by viewers so far. We short-listed three shows, Ek Hasina Thi, Reporters and Mahakumbh. All the three had interesting storylines, power-packed performances and an ensemble of interesting actors.
It was Ek Hasina Thi that led the poll right from the start with a clear margin. The revenge drama, which was loosely inspired by the American series, Revenge spoke about a young lady, Durga (Sanjeeda Sheikh) who returns home to Kolkata to avenge the wrongdoings against her sister, Payal from the Goenka family. Starring actors like Vatsal Sheth, Ayub Khan, Aditi Sajwan, Kishwer Merchantt to name a few. With a whopping 67 per cent voting for Ek Hasina Thi, it was a clear winner.
The Rajeev Khandelwal and Kritika Kamra newsroom drama, Reporters took the second spot. People, especially youngsters loved the finite nature of the show and the sizzling chemistry between the lead pair. The TRPs of the show wasn’t really high, which is why it perhaps ended earlier than it did. Reporters has one of Rajeev’s best performances on TV so far. It got 28 per cent votes so far.
Mahakumbh took the third spot with five per cent votes. A mytho-thriller it has Gautam Rode in the main lead. As Rudra, the act won accolades for his powerful performance. It also gave the industry Siddharth Nigam, who has formed his own cult of followers after his stupendous act in Chakravartin Ashok Samrat.
