The latest celebrity to be hit by the #MeToo movement today was Atul Kasbekar. The glamour photographer-talent manager - producer was named in a post by an anonymous woman who wrote that she faced sexual harassment on the sets of Cheat India. She said that director Soumik Sen indulged in verbal sexual harassment saying stuff about her working in a web series centered around lesbians for Netflix. She also said that he read out erotic poems for her. Now, in a post released by Ellipsis Entertainment that have alleged that the accusations were made with ulterior motives and were mischievous to derail an important movement. The lady wrote that Atul Kasbekar did not take any action when the women were visibly uncomfortable by Soumik's behaviour.
Kasbekar is the producer of Cheat India that stars Emraan Hashmi and Shreya Dhanwantary in lead roles. The film is centered around exam paper leaks in the hinterland. Kasbekar is famous for producing Neerja, the much-acclaimed biopic on Neerja Bhanot and Tumhari Sulu. Producer Vipul Amrutlal Shah was also accused today by Elenaz Norouzi of inappropriate behaviour.
