The actor wants the best for his venture
Tony D’Souza’s Azhar brought in a lot of critical acclaim for Emraan Hashmi. The past couple of years have been slightly dull for him with films like Mr X, Hamari Adhuri Kahaani and Mr Natwarlal bombing at the box office. Even Azhar did not rake in great numbers.
In the meantime, the actor has decided to turn into a producer. His first project will be helmed by Tony D’Souza who has made Blue before Azhar. The two are now busy putting together the entire team for the project. A source close to the actor told a leading daily, “He is kicked about the association. He is leaving no stone unturned to get the best people on board, people who can match Tony’s vision for the film. One of the first crew members to join the production is Amir Mokri.”
Well, Mokri has a fabulous repertoire of films to his credit. He has done projects like Fast & Furious (2009), Transformers: Dark Of The Moon (2011) and Man Of Steel (2013). Tony was quoted as saying, “I have known him for a long time. I wanted him to be part of my first film but that did not happen as he was busy with other projects at that time. We approached him for this film, and he agreed. He will do justice to the film.”
The other news is Emraan Hashmi has replaced Diljit Dosanjh in Ajay Devgn’s Baadshaho. This is their second collaboration after Once Upon A Time In Mumbai.
