Fresh off Laila Majnu, actor Abrar Qazi is all set to make his TV debut. BollywoodLife has learned exclusively that Qazi has been locked to play the lead for Colors’ upcoming show. A credible source has informed BL that Jay Mehta and Kinnari Mehta are working on a new daily for the GEC. “The narrative will be a romantic drama set against the backdrop of a Marathi family,” the little birdie adds. For the male lead, the makers have finalised Abrar Qazi. The actor played an integral part in the romantic saga that released last month. While he didn’t have much screen space, his role was appreciated. With this TV debut, the actor has a plum project in his bag.
Qazi will play a gangster from Dombivli. His character will fall in love with a girl from a non-Marathi family, who will go on to become an IAS officer. Sounds like an interesting premise? Well, yeah! The makers are on a hunt to finalise the female lead now.

Apparently, “a pilot has been shot with the actor a few days ago, without the female lead.” The production will begin by the next month as the makers will also finalise the female protagonist. If speculations are to be believed the yet-to-be-titled daily will go on air post the wrap up of the ongoing season of Bigg Boss.
We tried reaching out to Abrar and Kinnari but both refused to comment on the development.
With this show replacing Bigg Boss 12 and taking its time slot, it will be interesting to see what the makers have in store.
