BollywoodLife was the first to inform that the makers of Shakuntala Devi biopic have roped in Jisshu Sengupta to play Vidya Balan's husband as the actress plays the 'human computer' in the film. And now, we've got yet another update about this Anu Menon directorial. A reliable source close to the project has revealed to us that after casting Shakuntala's husband, the makers have now finalised the actor who will play her son-in-law. Amit Sadh, who was last seen in Hrithik Roshan-led Super 30, is apparently in talks to play the character. "Talks are mostly positive with the actor who is on the verge to sign or has already signed on the dotted lines," our source revealed. Amit fits the bills to play the role of Ajay Abhay Kumar on the silver screen. "Amit seemed perfect for the character, which is going to be an integral part of the narrative. The actor has already given his nod," added our source.
Despite repeated attempts, we couldn't get in touch with Amit for a confirmation.
Currently, the makers are now hunting for an actress, who will play Amit's on-screen wife. Shakuntala's daughter Anupama Banerji aka Anu has played a prominent part in her journey, which will be showcased in the biopic. Reports suggest that Dangal actress Sanya Malhotra is in talks for the role. Meanwhile, Amit will soon be seen in Zee5's original Barot House. The actor made his Bollywood debut with Phoonk 2, but rose to prominence after delivering a massive performance in Kai Po Che (2013).
Shakuntala Devi, who earned a place in the Guinness World Book of Records' 1982 edition, was famous for her arithmetic skills and had travelled the world with her father, demonstrating her talent.
