Do we even get solo releases these days? With so many actors shooting for so many different projects simultaneously, films are bound to release on the same date and a box-office clash is inevitable. While Anil Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's Fanney Khan averted a clash with Salman Khan's Race 3 for reasons that worked in their favour, they had to inevitably clash with Irrfan's Karwaan and Rishi Kapoor -Taapsee Pannu starrer Mulk. And when these movies will lock horns against each other, it would be interesting to see who beats who in this number game. While celebs assure that they have no qualms about facing their fellow co-stars on the box office battlefield, yet everyone secretly prays and wishes to have a solo release and enjoy a monopoly for an entire week at least. We asked a rather simple question to Anil Kapoor, whether clashing with a movie and fighting for the numbers of screens bothers him anymore, and we were glad to hear his honest reply. He said, "It's always better that one film releases. But these days you can't help it really. It's always good to have a solo release and every actor would like to have that. But since there are only certain slots available, you can't really help it." An honest reply is always appreciated. Anil being extremely outspoken that he is even accepted the fact that he did Race 3 purely for money. In his interaction with Deccan Chronicle, the actor revealed why Race 3's bad reviews didn't matter to him really. He simply said, "Whenever I sign a film, I obviously think of the amount of money that it will fetch me. Acting is my profession, it earns me my daily bread and butter. If I do not give importance to earning enough money, how will I run my kitchen? My wife will never allow me into the house if I do not earn money, so it’s important to me." Now, who has the real guts to say this?
