Arjun Kapoor is back on 70mm with India's Most Wanted. The film is about the capture of one of India's most dreaded terrorists by a group of five intelligence officers. What sets the operation apart is the fact that the group of intelligence officers are totally unarmed on the mission. Arjun Kapoor plays the role of stoic patriotic and determined Prabhat Kapoor who leads the team. The film has been written and directed by Rajkumar Gupta. He has made films like Aamir, No One Killed Jessica, Ghanchakkar and Raid before this. The filmmaker reveals that he took three years to research and write the script of India's Most Wanted.
During the interview, Arjun Kapoor and Rajkumar Gupta revealed how tough it was to shoot India's Most Wanted in places like Bihar and Nepal. At times, the team had to skip meals to get shots canned in a specific time. The cinematography of the film has got a lot of appreciation from critics. There are a number of aerial shots in the film. Rajkumar Gupta earlier revealed how Arjun Kapoor met him after Raid and how he was the first choice for the role of the courageous officer. Arjun told us, "This is a very serious film. It is about those heroes who are unsung but risk everything for the nation. I am very proud of it."
India's Most Wanted is apparently based on the capture of Yasin Bhatkal. The dreaded terrorist was on the hit list of every international intelligence agency. Rajkumar Gupta revealed how it is tough to get information from government officials due to the high level of secrecy. The film is apparently devoid of all frills and has a gritty narrative. This year we have seen films like Uri: The Surgical Strike and Kesari doing well and IMW is also in the same genre. Stay tuned to BollywoodLife for more scoops and updates!
