Ever since it was announced that Ayushmann Khurrana will play the lead in a gay love story, our excitement has hit out of the park. Ayushmann, who has always played characters that are out of the box, will play a gay character in the sequel of his sleeper hit Shubh Mangal Savdhaan. While the first part featured the sensitive topic of erectile dysfunction, the second instalment, titled Shubh Mangal Zyaada Savdhaan, revolves around a homosexual love story. The curiosity around who will play Ayushmann's romantic interest in the film is at its peak. Several names like Divyenndu and Jitendra Kumar have been doing the rounds, however, none of them have been confirmed.
Recently, BollywoodLife sat down for a conversation with Ayushmann, whose next film is Anubhav Sinha's cop drama, Article 15. While talking about the sequel, Shubh Mangal Zyaada Savdhaan, Ayushmann spoke about his enthusiasm to play a gay character for the first time. "I'm very excited and nervous at the very same time. Being a heterosexual guy, it is not easy to play a homosexual character." As part of preparations for the film, Ayushmann is doing reading sessions with the LGBT community, to be in sync with them. When we asked the actor about his partner in the movie, Ayushmann revealed that the team is currently hunting for talent. "We still don't know, we are trying to find my boyfriend," said Ayushmann.
And while his romantic partner from the film is still being worked out, we asked Ayushmann to pick a Bollywood actor of his choice, who he would want to romance on-screen. "I think Vicky Kaushal and Siddhant Chaturvedi,” quipped Ayushmann.

And that is a good choice! Ayushmann romancing either of the two actors is something we totally want to watch on the silver screen. Makers, are you listening?
Shubh Mangal Zyaada Savdhaan will be directed by Hitesh Kewalya and is scheduled to go on floors in August. Earlier in May, the makers released the teaser of the movie announcing the sequel.
