The actress just did a cameo in her hubby, Gurmeet Choudhary’s Bollywood debut, Khamoshiyan and is now all set to come back to the small screen
A popular production house has roped in Debina Bonnerjee for a daily soap on a popular GEC. While the actor doesn’t exactly reveal what her role is about we gather, it is neither comedy nor mythological. “This is a very different role, something I have not done before. In Ramayan, our performance was very restricted; everything was very serious. In Chidya Ghar, I was on the extreme of comedy. The new show, which I will start shooting for sometime in March, will pave the way for me to do something I’ve not done before. I have done comedy for three years. It was a conscious decision to take up comedy after being so serious in Ramayan. Now I want a balance between the two. I have not tried something normal so far.”
Well considering she is making her debut in Bollywood along with her hubby, we wonder why the actress is not trying her luck in films too. “No I am not considering Bollywood at the moment. Doing Bollywood for Gurmeet and me together can be very difficult. It is a very crucial juncture in our lives. Right now, Guru has to set his foothold in the industry. Once he gets it then maybe I can experiment. But both of us experimenting together can get very chaotic and difficult. For now I will be continuing with TV; I have a few offers and by the time Guru's movie releases, I will start shooting for something. I feel this is not the right time for me to try out movies, maybe another year or two."
Well the loving wife in Debina has definitely decided to stand by her hubby as he steps into Bollywood, but in the meanwhile she is keeping herself busy with the new show she has just signed on. Stay tuned to this space for more news and gossip on tellyland.
