Yes! Karan Johar was thinking of calling the film something else...
Karan Johar's Ae dil Hai Mushkil is all set for a Diwali release. The first teaser of the romantic flick will see the daylight tomorrow! And we are are super excited for it. The Ranbir Kapoor - Aishwarya Rai Bachchan starrer is simply going to blow our minds- we got a little hint from our sources. Three posters of Ae Dil Hai Mushkil have been released today, and boy the wait till 10 am in the morning is going to be tough. But here is some scoop to get the party started. Did you know Ae Dil Hai Mushkil had a different title before? Yep! If all had went according to the plan the movie would be releasing with a different title. Here's a lil trivia-
Our source reveals to us, EXCLUSIVELY, that a different titled was deemed suited for this romantic flick. How about you guess first? Lets save time! The previous title was simply 'Ae Dil'! Not a big change but, honestly, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil has a better ring to it. Plus a Karan Johar movie with a title that short. Now, that is something that doesn't seem cool. But the reason for this change is something that will get you excited for the film even more. So what happened is when KJO got to hear the title track of the film, which has been composed by none other than Pritam, he loved it so damn much, that he decided that he would rather call the film Ae Dil Hai Mushkil! So now with the trailer, we also have to wait for the release of this song. It changed the celebrated filmmaker's mind, we can only imagine how good it must be.
Pritam has earlier composed kick ass music for Dharma productions' Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, that again starred Ranbir Kapoor in the lead role. We know how great the entire album was. The movie released back in 2013, and its music is still a hit! There is no party that doesn't play Balam Pichkari and Badtameez Dil! Bet this time as well the music will steal our heart as well as the top spot on music charts.
Ae Dil Hai Mushkil- the words are derived from a very popular classic song from the film CID. The movie released way back in 1956 and starred Dev Anand, Waheeda Rahman, and Johnny Walker. Walker, the famous comedian, had the title track picturised on him in the film. The lyrics of which were "Ae Dil Hai Mushkil jeena yahan, zara hat ke, zara bach ke, yeh hai Bombay meri jaan".
Talking about Ae Dil the mo...oops I mean Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, the movie stars Anushka Sharma in the lead role as well. The actress, whom we last saw opposite Salman Khan in Sultan, is rumoured to be playing a Pakistani citizen in this film. We will also see Fawad Khan in an extended cameo. He can have a mere cut out of him in a film and women will drool. Here he has a extended freakin cameo. Of course female fans are in for a treat. Also, present in key roles are Lisa Haydon, whom we absolutely loved in Queen, and Imran Abbas Naqvi, if you haven't checked out this Pakistani hottie already - you are missing out on a lot. A LOT! There is also rumours of Saif Ali Khan in a special appearance. Fingers crossed. Psst... BTW - Fawad also makes an appearance in teaser trailer that releases tomorrow. And he is looking dreamy like ever.
We have been hearing that Karan Johar wants to make this film the 'most good-looking' film India has ever seen. So, a star cast with pretty faces - check. Beautiful locations - check. Till where we can see Karan is halfway already there.
