Salman Khan has a plateful this year! The superstar who was last seen in Race 3 has a number of films that has made fans happy. Come June 5, we will see him romance Katrina Kaif in Ali Abbas Zafar's Bharat. The period drama, which also stars Disha Patani, Sunil Grover and Nora Fatehi in key roles is the official remake of a Korean film titled Ode To My Father and will show Salman and Katrina in 5 different looks. Then cut to December when he will be back to playing a kickass cop Chulbul Pandey in the third installment of the Dabangg franchise. Directed by Prabhudheva, the film will also star Sonakshi Sinha and Kichcha Sudeep in key roles. But while that is that, we are most excited about Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Inshallah alongside Alia Bhatt and Sajid Nadiadwala's Kick 2. Now it's not just because we know that it will be a large scale mount but also because of the sheer curiosity and conflict of dates around it.
If you'd recall earlier it was being reported that Salman's Inshallah will release on Eid 2020 and clash with Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif's Sooryavanshi. While the latest buzz is that it won't and that Salman himself called Akki to ensure that the films won't clash we are still waiting for a confirmation on that. However, all of this becomes even more interesting because apparently it was Kick 2 that was supposed to go on floors and release first and not SLB's venture. And it makes sense with the talks of the sequel to Salman and Jacqueline Fernandez's Kick being in the news for some time now. But like they say, not before time!
BollywoodLife has learnt exclusively that it couldn't roll on time because the script isn't ready. Also, the makers are on the lookout for a fresh face to cast opposite Salman, and not Deepika Padukone unlike what rumours suggest. Guess, we will have to wait till the makers lock the script and the lead heroine for the same. Gotta say though, the thought of Salman-Deepika pairing still excites us. All said and done, the makers want to take the franchise forward and make the film bigger and better and that as we all know takes time! So, time we shall give.

The original film which released in 2015, narrated the story of a detective who fights against a young millionaire who escapes from bad situations through money and connections.
