Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2 went on air last night and netizens could not stop but rave about how good Parth Samthaan and Erica Fernandes looked together. Wishes have poured in for the show from the fraternity. It is one of Ekta Kapoor's most expensive ventures and the channel has promoted it heavily. Of course, the icing on the cake is having Shah Rukh Khan as a narrator. Bollywood Life caught up with Kratika Sengar Dheer who played Prerna Omi Gill in the original version to know what she felt about the show. ICYMI, she was the daughter of Sneha Basu (Jennifer Winget) and Omi Gill (Shabbir Ahluwalia) in the original. This is what Kratika told us...
"I thought the first episode was astonishing. It has been shot so beautifully with such good-looking faces. The costumes also looked lovely. I am eager to see the next episode now. Every time, the red dupatta flew, I remembered the old one, which is such a classic. I feel all the actors are fab. I loved Erica Fernandes as Prerna. The actress who is playing Anurag's mom, Shubhavi Chouksey, was also very good. She is a senior actress who has been around for long. I am really looking forward to seeing Komolika's (Hina Khan) entry on the show." The actress also expressed her appreciation for the makers who have spent so much on the production. "I feel the entire team is lucky to have a setup and team like this. The promotions have been fantastic. And to have Shah Rukh Khan narrate the story. What else does one need? They are lucky to have all this," gushes Kratika.
The actress also went down memory lane and shared how much she learnt from Shweta Tiwari, her onscreen grandmother. "More than Jennifer Winget, I shot with Shweta Tiwari. She's taught me a lot and is a wonderful co-actor. She would turn up and devote all the hours required for the show that ran for seven long years. She was like a mom and mentor to us. At times, when we did not get a scene she would perform it physically to show us how it's done. Jennifer was doing another show so she would shoot less for KZK. I have great memories with Shweta," she says.
