Sunil Grover is winning hearts as Vilayati in Salman Khan's Bharat. The comedian plays his best friend in the heart-warming film that tells the journey of a man and a nation. Sunil has worked before in Hindi and Punjabi films but this is his biggest film yet. Everyone who has seen the film is praising his performance. Sunil says he was thrilled when Ali Abbas Zafar came to him with the script. The actor, like us, has been a Salman Khan fan since childhood. Earlier, Sunil Grover told us that Salman Khan is a true mentor. "He is non-interfering but keeps a watch on you. He has suggestions. Salman Sir has improvised so many times on the sets. His comic flair is tremendous He has written quite a few lines for the film," he says. The comedian also shared an interesting anecdote from the Punjab schedule of the film. He told us, "When we were shooting in Punjab, I was flooded with requests from relatives who wanted a picture with Salman Bhai. I had to tell everyone that it was not possible. One of my relatives came on the sets and managed a picture with Salman. When he uploaded it on social media, I had to heard a lot from other members of my family." We can only imagine what Sunil went through after other members of the kin saw the pictures.
Bharat is the official remake of the film Ode To My Father that was a blockbuster in Korea. In the film, Bharat and Sunil's character Vilayati undertake the journey of a lifetime together.
