EXCLUSIVE! Waluscha De Sousa: Fan was a film that came looking for me!

In an exclusive interview with Shah Rukh KHan's Fan co-star Waluscha De Sousa, she revealed on what it was like working with the superstar.

After making her debut opposite Shah Rukh Khan, we can imagine that Waluscha De Sousa of Fan will have a lot to look forward to in the industry. Although the competition is super high but so is the talent scale. We're seeing a lot of new talented faces who are actually making a lasting impact on the audience and making a fanbase for themselves. This year is not just the year of superheroes and Khans but also the year of debutants. A lot of actors are making their claim to fame this year with films that have either released or are about to release. What's better is the fact that these debut actors are actually working with A-Listers. Be in Waluscha De Sousa in Shah Rukh Khan's Fan or Diljit Dosanjh as a lead in Udta Punjab that has stars like Shahid Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Alia Bhatt. They are all entering Bollywood and they are doing so with already acclaimed stars. So when we asked Waluscha what made her choose this film for her debut, she had the coolest reply to that. Like a lot of debutants, she too had a story to tell on how she bagged this film. Obviously, it all started with her approaching industry's casting stalwart, Shanu Sharma who after five minutes of talk with Waluscha, passed on her tapes to Yash Raj, which reached Maneesh Sharma. The actress said, "I think this film really found me in a way. I was told by all the stalwarts in the industry that Shanu Sharma is one of the most important casting director that you need to meet if you want to make it in the industry.
