Fanney Khan is only a few days away from the release. The movie stars Anil Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Pihu Sand and Divya Dutta in key roles. It is a remake of the Dutch comedy, Everybody's Famous. The first trailer of the movie was able to generate quite a buzz amongst fans. Now, the latest released song hits the ball out of the park. Another number, titled Tere Jaisa Tu Hai, has been released by the makers. This one is an emotional track that will mesmerise you.
Tere Jaisa Tu Hai focusses on Anil Kapoor's daughter in the movie, played by Pihu. She faces discrimination at singing competitions based on her chubbiness and is heartbroken. After setting the premise, the song bursts into an emotional journey through the powerful vocals of Monali Thakur on the music of Amit Trivedi. Pihu takes center stage hinting that she might get her moment to shine eventually in the film, with this number. The song is energetic yet very heart rendering. It's about the individuality of everyone, the thought very well brought out by Irshad Kamil's lyrics. It might not become a chartbuster but it certainly is a melody that many of us would cherish. Pihu, who plays the aspiring singer in the film, had to gain 20 kg for her role. Bhumi Pednekar had done something similar for her debut film Dum Laga Ke Haisha. “When I saw Dum Laga Ke Haisha, I saw how heavy she was in the film but over and above she did such a good job. She gained weight for what she loved and yes that inspired me. I did the same because I love what I was going to do in ‘Fanney Khan’,” Pihu has said.
Fanney Khan is set to release on August 3.
