Filmistaan trailer: Will the film manage to tickle the funny bone?

UTV Motion Pictures has finally come out with Nitin Kakkar’s brainchild, Filmistaan’s official theatrical trailer. After a year and half long wait Filmistaan is finally seeing light of the day. And we are nothing but glad to wait for this one to release on June 6. Directed by Nitin Kakkar, the film is about a Sunny the struggling actor who is such a “true-blue cinema fan” that even his regular conversations are oozing with theatrical melodrama! Sharib Hashmi will be seen essaying the lead role and this is his big break. Interestingly, Sharib has also written the dialogues for this film and from the sneak-peek we got through this trailer, we expect them to be super-filmi. Filmistaan can be anticipated to be a knee-slapper comedy about how Sunny embarks on a hilarious journey that changes his life. It is also about the magic of cinema which serves as an instrument for universal peace and brotherhood. Above all, Filmistaan is a tribute to the ultimate Ma of all – Cinema. Filmistaan’s trailer reminded us of the side-splitting satire Tere Bin Laden probably because of the gun-toting, pathani-clad terrorists who are trying ridiculously hard to wreak havoc. Watch the trailer and you will agree with us. The film has already proven to be worth its salt at a variety of film festivals recently and hopefully after this prolonged wait in the dark, Filmistaan will release with flying colors and receive the adulation it seems to deserve. Abhi ke liye, bolo Cinema ki jai!
