Rules are not meant to be broken, especially inside the Bigg Boss house. In the previous seasons of the high voltage reality show, we have seen a few contestants bear serious repercussions because they didn't take the regulations laid down, seriously. Kamaal R Khan, Kushal Tandon and Imam Siddique are the classic examples. This year too, there were quite a few instances when the housemates of Bigg Boss 10 went against the rules, but fortunately got away with it as the show runners themselves didn't take their niyams too seriously either. Here are the moments when the makers didn't do what they should have done:
Om Swami. Nuff said!
Initially it was all fun and having Om Swami on Bigg Boss 10 was considered a laughable matter, thanks to the ridiculous claims that the self-styled Godman made on the show. Plus with host Salman Khan not being able to hold his laughter every weekend was of course an entertaining aspect for the masses. But all this hassi-mazaak came to an end, as Om showed his true colours and made some highly inappropriate comments. He even went on to break the property of the house, after which, for the first time ever in the history of the show, he was reprimanded by Bigg Boss himself. This was the point when he should have been thrown out of the house, but the makers, who were quite clearly hungry for TRPs decided to keep him on the show and waited for him to throw his urine on Bani J and Rohan Mehra, after which he was kicked out, much to the joy of entire nation.
Turning a blind eye to physical violence
During one of the tasks, Rohan Mehra did what everyone wanted to do. The former Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai actor slapped Om Swami during a task. We all know that physical violence is a big no inside the Bigg Boss house, and ideally Rohan should have been eliminated for the show for breaking the most important rule of the house. After all, that's what happened to Kushal and KRK when they physically attacked VJ Andy and Rohit Verma respectively in their respective seasons. Agreed, that what Rohan did was absolutely right. The man deserved more than just a slap, but technically, it was against the rules and Rohan should have been shown the exit door instead of getting nominated for the entire season. Turning a blind eye to physical violence dobaara
Bani J and Lopamudra Raut didn't get along right from the very first day. But their animosity reached to a new level when they came to fists and blows recently after Lopa made insensitive remarks on Bani's mother during a task. This was the second time when the makers turned a blind eye to physical violence inside the house.
No isolation
The whole point of the show is that people are suppose to live in isolation for a period of roughly 108 days. Neither there has to be no contact with the outside world, nor they are suppose to know the time. But the key aspect of the show is gone when two contestants are brought outside the house for a task in a shopping mall. This has been happening from quite a few seasons, but it's time the makers take their own show seriously and stop such activities from the next season.
Termination of the tasks
The leniency reached to an all time high this year as mostly all the tasks were terminated due to some reason or the other. This was the first time in the history of Bigg Boss that makers had to cancel almost all the tasks, because the contestants didn't perform or got into fights every time.
