Wondering how to survive a day waiting for Game of Thrones season 8? Well, we are quite sure you would have already revisited the show and must have rerun the seven seasons. And if you still have time left, then this is for you. The upcoming season is the finale and we are already dreading what is in stores for us. In its course of eight years, the show, adapted from George R R Martin's series of novellas, has given us enough moments that have made us a wait for more. So with the eighth season the expectations are at its peak. But will the eighth season be able to surpass the heights that it has seen in the past? Well, that is something we'll only know once the show goes on air, but for now, let's jot down seven (in no particular order) epic moments from Game of Thrones, that make it one of a kind experience!
Ned Stark's beheading
"The noble and honourable Ned Stark is the main protagonist of the show... nothing can happen to him...he will surely survive the beheading somehow! And he is dead" If you have started watching GoT this surely would have run through your mind (unless spoilers spoiled it for you). This moment made us realise that we are in for some trouble.
Daenerys taking the unsullied and burning the master
"Dracarys!" when Daenerys Targaryen utters her favorite dragon's name and he roasts the master who has held him captive, you do not just get goosebumps but you also realise that Daeny is not a lame character (like her dead brother) who is just shouting for her throne. The entire scene gives you a sense of how strong Daenerys is!
I've never been so sad while watching a fictional series (not even when Rose let go of a dead Jack). The Red Wedding has to be monumental in the history of television, not just for killing several characters that you liked but also for its massive shocker. "Mother!" when an injured Robb Stark calls out to Catelyn Stark, tell me your eyes didn't well up! Ahh somebody #BringRobbBack
Jon Snow's death and resurrection
Both these events took place in different episodes, but they were equally magical. It was as iconic as the return of Mihir Virani! The only one time we liked Mellisandre was when she resurrected the to-be King in the North.
The walk of shame
Who could have imagined that we could even sympathise with Cersei Lannister? We don't know about you but when the poor lady had to walk in all her glory while people threw rotten tomatoes on her, our hearts did cry for her. It is another thing that post that we were back at hating her. Something only GoT makes you go through.
Cersei blasting the Septon
Talking about hating Cersei - the lady blew up an entire Sept. Of Baelor with wildfire to avenge her walk of shame. Right from Ramin Djawadi's AMAZING soundtrack to Miguel Sapochnik's sharp direction, The Winds of Winter is one of the best episodes of season six.
Daenerys vs the Night King
When Jon Snow and his cluster of friends are taken captive by the Night King, thanks to Gendry's faster than Bolt sprint, Daenerys comes to their rescue. And man oh man, when we see the Mother of Dragons meet the Night King it is an emotion we cannot describe. Then one of her dragon Viserion dies and soon resurrects with blue eyes.
Other epic moments
Since the show is filled with so many epic moments, there are a few others that demand a mentioned. Tyrion's Speech, The fall of the wall, Jamie Lannister's confessions to Brienne, Jamie Lannister throwing Bran off the cliff, the list is endless. Bring the next season already!
